Upcycling cotton threads involves repurposing old or discarded garments, reducing the demand for new raw materials. This conserves valuable natural resources such as water, land, and energy that would be required to grow and process new cotton. These artisans start by collecting those old garments in local flea markets. They carefully unpick each thread of a garment to recover and transform them into skeins. These skeins are then utilized in the creation of new handwoven and unique garments, making the entire process both fascinating and magical.
